Crisis Child Care

4Cs Crisis Child Care program provides short-term emergency care when parents are not able to provide regular care. The program’s goal is to reduce the risk of child abuse and to reduce the need for foster care placements by providing temporary child care at no cost to the families in crisis.

Eligibility for this program requires that the children be birth – 17 years of age. Care can be provided for a maximum of 72 hours per fiscal year.

Families are referred to the program by:

  • Department of Human Services
  • Law enforcement
  • Johnson County school districts
  • Self-referrals
